Lesotho Nutrition Initiative would not be possible without the help of so many amazing people. We would like to first recognize Larry, Ron, and everyone at Pack Away Hunger and The Alliance for Better Nutrition, without your support, our work would not be possible. Larry and Ron were especially helpful to us when we were just getting packing events started. They really took us under their wing and have continued to support us ever since.
Next, we would like to recognize the Mathile Foundation, as they are the ones responsible for the life-changing nutritional supplements in our meals. We are eternally grateful for the work they do and for connecting us to Pack Away Hunger.
We would also like to give a huge shout out to one of our longest supporters, Steve Neely. Steve has been supporting us since we were just a research group in 2014 and has been vital to our connections and work in Lesotho. The last few years, Steve has been extremely generous in letting us use his warehouse to be our hub for packing and storing meals. We are so grateful for your support and all you have helped us accomplish!
To date, LNI has packed and shipped over 2 million meals. This great milestone could not have been reached without the help of so many incredible volunteers. When we first started packing in the 2015-16 school year, we worked with 6 partner schools/churches. Every year we have been able to grow in our partnerships and now, 5 short years after our first pack, we are overjoyed to say that we have worked with 30 different incredible schools, churches, and businesses across southwestern Ohio (and even two schools in Indiana!). Our partners have given us the most valuable thing: their time.
